Calculation of the 12 Day Officers (建除十二神 Jian Chu Shier Shen) is based on the relationship between the Earthly Branches of the month and the day in the Chinese calendar. To calculate it, you first need to define the Earthly Branch of the Chinese month corresponding to the date. The Earthly Branches are better known as the "12 animals of the Chinese zodiac," which we use to refer to the years, as in the Year of the Goat, the Year of the Snake, the Year of the Dog, etc.

Establish Day (建 Jiàn) marks the beginning of a cycle when Qi is quite strong. It is a favorable day for laying foundations, renewing aspirations, and making new plans for the future. Countless endeavors are initiated on this day! The name of the system of 12 indicators: Jian-chu (建除) or in full: Jian-chu erzhi shen (建除十二神) originates from the name of this day!

The Day of Balance (平 Pin) is traditionally a simple day without any special events. It is neither bad nor good, so you should use it consciously. If we want to make the most of our time, we need to make good use of the energies of any given day and not focus on whether it is “good” or “bad.” Since this is the day of Balance, it means the balance of the parties' positions.

Stable Day (定 Ding) The energy of this day is very stable, it is a positive day that signifies the duration and constancy of everything that is started on this day. It is suitable for starting long-term projects or for events from which you want a lasting effect.
