Public Performance
When you speak in front of people, you want to be heard, understood and remembered. In Chinese date selection this calls for a day when people's attention is "open" and the speaker's energy attracts rather than repels. On a lucky day it is easier to handle nerves, connect with the audience and gain recognition. On an unfavourable day there is a higher risk of technical glitches, a cool reception or poorly chosen words.

When to use a different query:
- a general meeting or conference where you are the organiser rather than the speaker: "general meeting, conference";

How the Calendar rates the day. For public performance the favourable Day Officers are Open, Stable and Success. The unfavourable ones are Close, Full, Destruction, Establish and Remove. Among the lunar mansions, House, Star, Dipper, Bow, Room, Chariot, Horn, Wall and Guardian are among the good ones, while Ox, Maiden, Ghost, Willow, Turtle Beak, Wing and Void are unfavourable. The day is supported by the Flower of Romance (the speaker's charm), the Noble Man, the Star of Prosperity, the Heavenly and Monthly Stars of Virtue, Personal Harmony, the Day of Three Harmony and the Three Mystics. It is weakened by the Star of Loneliness and the Lonely Day (you risk being left "alone" with no response from the audience), the Day of Lost Time, the Star of Losses, the Separating Day, Destruction in the Day and a Clash of the Year or of the Month.

Tip. The date of a talk is often set by the organisers. If you cannot change it, at least choose an auspicious hour for your own performance. And if you are organising a webinar or a live stream yourself, choose both the day and the hour.
