The Chinese Fortune Calendar has two mirror-image queries: "receiving rewards", when money comes to you, and "payment of remuneration", when you pay others. The first is far more popular, and it is the subject of this article. It is about a day when what you have earned or are owed comes to you easily and stays with you.
In Chinese tradition, receiving money is about "filling" and "collecting". A good day helps you receive the full amount, on time and without disputes. On an unfavourable day there may be delays, reduced amounts, or the money you receive may quickly "leak away".

What the query covers:
- receiving a salary, a bonus or a premium;
- receiving a fee, payment of an invoice or money for completed work;
- receiving payment on a deal, for example when selling property;
- receiving winnings, a prize or a cash gift;
- receiving an inheritance, an insurance payout or compensation;
- invoicing a client or sending a payment request;
- in a broader sense, receiving an award, recognition or a promotion in status.
When to use a different query:
- you pay employees or contractors, or hand out bonuses: "payment of remuneration";
- someone repays a debt to you: "debt collection";
- you receive a loan: "applying for a loan, investment";
- you deposit the money you received: "placing money in a bank";
- you split money with partners: "money sharing".
How the Calendar rates the day. For receiving rewards the favourable Day Officers are Full, Collect and Success. The unfavourable ones are Balance, Establish and Remove.
