Feng Shui Related Activities

Many users of the Chinese Fortune Calendar know feng shui and regularly change something at home on its advice. The "feng shui related activities" query exists for exactly these changes. Feng shui masters say that the right action on the wrong day loses much of its power. That is why the day you place a symbol or perform an activation matters as much as the location.

What the query covers:

• placing feng shui symbols, talismans and cures: coins, wind chimes, fountains, crystals, figurines;
• activating sectors according to the Flying Stars, the Ba Gua, and the annual and monthly stars;
• rearranging furniture following a feng shui consultation;
• changing wall colours, lighting, the entrance or the workspace for feng shui reasons;
• a consultation with a feng shui master and taking compass (Luo Pan) readings of the home;
• starting work on a master's recommendations.

When to use a different query:

• placing a bed: "placing a bed according to feng shui". This is a separate and stricter query, because the bed affects health and relationships;
• moving into a new home: "moving to a new house";
• renovation, demolishing walls, changing the layout: "demolition of walls, buildings, etc." or "starting of construction";
• cleaning and decluttering: "cleaning, laundry" and "analysis of old rubble". This is important preparation for an activation and is also worth doing on a good day.

How the Calendar rates the day. For feng shui activities the favourable Day Officers are Control, Success and Establish. The unfavourable ones are Close, Danger and Destruction. Among the lunar mansions, House, Well, Orion, Room, Horn and Tail are good, for example, while Ox, Ghost, Willow, Wing, Astride, Pleiades and Neck are unfavourable. It is especially important to avoid the Master Killing Day: by tradition, any action taken on that day by a master, or by someone following a master's advice, brings no result or backfires. The day is also weakened by the Extinction Day and by a Clash of the Year or of the Month.
