General analysis of the day
Overview:
October 18 — Day of Open (開). This is fundamentally a day of new beginnings and expansion, yet the presence of two significant negative stars creates tension between the day's natural openness and hidden forces working toward disconnection and disruption.
Positives of the day:
The Open indicator brings genuine promise for starting ventures, launching businesses, and formal openings. The mansion Root supports public speaking, broadcasting, and communication endeavours. There are no positive stars present, but the indicator itself carries strong auspicious energy for those ready to act decisively.
Negatives of the day:
Lonely Day and Master Killing Day both operate today, creating serious obstacles. Lonely Day fragments relationships and undermines partnership and group activities. Master Killing Day clouds feng shui judgement and disrupts major events. The Root mansion warns against weddings and burials, and cautions against construction work due to accident risk.
Good for:
— Starting a business or new venture — Official openings and formal announcements — Public speaking and broadcasting — Buying property — Signing contracts and agreements — Inviting guests and hosting gatherings — Workplace training and development — Religious ceremonies and requesting blessings — Legal defence preparation — House warming celebrations
Not good for:
— Weddings and marriages — Partnership development and group activities — Funerals and burials — Feng shui measurements and consultations — Major relocations — Construction, repair work, or groundwork — Digging foundations, pools, or earth disturbance — Cutting down trees — Fishing
In short:
October 18 favours individual action and solo enterprise, but warns against collective endeavours. The day's strength lies in opening doors for yourself; use it for business launches and formal announcements, but postpone anything requiring harmonious partnership or significant structural changes.
