This is the third most popular query in our Chinese Fortune Calendar. It is about meeting a doctor, and that meeting decides how well they understand your problem and what solution they offer. In Chinese date selection, such a meeting is above all about finding the right specialist: on a good day it is easier to find your doctor, get an accurate diagnosis and receive clear recommendations.

What the query covers:

• a first appointment with a GP or a specialist;
• a consultation, a second opinion, switching doctors;
• dental visits: check-ups, professional cleaning, treating cavities, fillings;
• a follow-up visit to discuss test results;
• an online consultation with a doctor;
• in a broader sense, seeing any health professional: a psychologist, an osteopath, a nutritionist.

When to use a different query:

• lab tests, ultrasound, MRI and other diagnostics, and procedures within a course already prescribed: "medical examinations and procedures";
• the first day of a new course of treatment: "starting of treatment";
• tooth extraction: "organ removal operation"; implants or root canal treatment that saves the tooth: "organ preservation operation";
• body cleansing and detox: "internal organs cleaning".
