General analysis of the day
Overview:
October 16 — Day of Establish (建). This is a day of strong forward momentum, favourable for new beginnings and planning, yet the lunar mansion introduces caution and suggests careful navigation around potential complications.
Positives of the day:
The Year Storage Star brings excellent energy for acquiring real estate and other substantial assets, as well as for making long-term financial deposits. The Establish indicator supports new ventures, meetings, negotiations, and starting fresh chapters—whether in business, education, travel, or housing. Medical consultations and career changes are well-supported. The mansion favours travel and harvesting activities.
Negatives of the day:
Heart mansion carries inherent unfavourable qualities tied to misfortune, disputes, and losses. Property acquired on this day may face complications requiring eventual sale. The mansion warns against initiating new activities and explicitly cautions against legal disputes, funerals, or burials. There is also risk of discord among heirs and family. The strong Qi of Establish clashes with the mansion's warning against celebrations and elaborate gatherings.
Good for:
— Purchasing real estate and substantial property — Long-term financial deposits and banking matters — Planning and starting new projects — Business negotiations and signing contracts — Meeting friends and building new partnerships — Job interviews and career changes — Travel — Beginning education or studies — Moving house and repair work — Medical consultations and starting health regimens — Engagement planning and wedding arrangements
Not good for:
— Organising celebrations or large gatherings — Arranging funerals or conducting burial rites — Filing lawsuits or legal matters — Starting new activities without careful consideration — Ground work or digging projects — Making decisions regarding property inheritance — Major commitments that assume permanent stability
In short:
October 16 offers genuine opportunity for material advancement and new beginnings, particularly in property and finance. Yet the Heart mansion demands prudence—proceed with clear eyes, avoid legal entanglement, and recognise that gains made today may require reassessment later.

WHAT WILL THIS DAY BRING YOU
建 Establish
The time is right to start planning something new and looking to the future.
It is, also, the right time to get engaged and plan a wedding but not the right time for the wedding itself.
It is a good time to meet up with friends, conduct business negotiations, and make new connections with business partners and a good time for signing contracts.
It is the right time to take medical advice, to start a new diet, change your job or have a job interview.
A good time to travel, begin studying at college, university or start an educational course.
It is a good time to move into a new house, start building work and repair work (but nothing that involves digging or ground work).
Qi at this time is strong so it is best not to organise celebrations, arrange funerals or dig graves.
