General analysis of the day
Overview:
August 26 — Day of Establish (建). This is a day of forward momentum and new beginnings, supported by the strong Qi of the Establish indicator. However, a Clash of Heavenly Stems creates underlying tension that must be navigated carefully.
Positives of the day:
The Monthly Star of Virtue is present, a powerful ally that softens conflicts and transforms obstacles into opportunities. This star enhances charisma and helps negotiations flow smoothly. The Winnowing Basket mansion brings excellent energy for collecting debts, receiving money, and professional advancement. Together, these factors create genuine potential for success in business and personal initiatives, even amid the day's inherent friction.
Negatives of the day:
The Clash of Heavenly Stems introduces aggression and conflict into the day's fabric. Projects started now may encounter future obstacles. Formal events, celebrations, and important personal commitments face headwinds. The Winnowing Basket is explicitly unfavourable for weddings.
Good for:
— Planning new ventures and laying groundwork for future projects — Business negotiations and signing contracts — Meeting friends and making professional connections — Collecting debts and receiving payments — Career changes and job interviews — Starting educational courses or travel — Home relocation and repair work (excluding excavation) — Feng Shui projects and large construction undertakings — Hiring and firing decisions
Not good for:
— Arranging weddings or engagements — Organising celebrations and formal events — Arranging funerals or grave-digging — Starting major important matters that require long-term stability — Any work involving ground excavation
In short:
This is a day to plan and prepare rather than finalise or celebrate. The Monthly Star of Virtue gives you grace to navigate the underlying tension of the Clash, making it ideal for negotiations, money matters, and career moves—just avoid committing to anything that demands absolute harmony or permanence.

WHAT WILL THIS DAY BRING YOU
建 Establish
The time is right to start planning something new and looking to the future.
It is, also, the right time to get engaged and plan a wedding but not the right time for the wedding itself.
It is a good time to meet up with friends, conduct business negotiations, and make new connections with business partners and a good time for signing contracts.
It is the right time to take medical advice, to start a new diet, change your job or have a job interview.
A good time to travel, begin studying at college, university or start an educational course.
It is a good time to move into a new house, start building work and repair work (but nothing that involves digging or ground work).
Qi at this time is strong so it is best not to organise celebrations, arrange funerals or dig graves.
